Edward Regan Murphy who was born in April 3, 1961. Murphy is an American Actor and comedian. Murphy rise to fame on the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, where he was a regular cast member from 1980 – 1984. Murphy is also a stand up comedian and he’s on ranked No. 10 on comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest stand in history.
Murphy has received a Grammy Award and an Emmy Award and was honored with the Mark Twain Prize For American Humor in 2015 and the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award in year 2023.
Murphy ahas also received the Golden Globe Award nomination for his outstanding performance in 48 Hrs. in 1982, the Beverly Hills Cop Series in 1984 – present, Trading Places in 1983, The Nutty Professor in 1996, and Dolemite Is My Name in 2019.
Murphy has received numerous awards for his performance on the fantasy comedy movie Dr. Dolittle in 1998 and it’s sequel in 2001. He received the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his character of soul vocalist James “Thunder” Early in the musical film Dreamgirls.
Murphy is also a amazing voice artist, he gave voice over to Mushu in Disney’s Mulan in year 1998, Thurgood Stubbs in the sitcom The PJs in 1999-2001, and Donkey in the Shrek Franchise 2001-2010, and later all of these he won a BAFTA AWARD for Best actor in a Supporting role nomination.

Murphy was born in Brooklyn, New York, but raised in the Borohgh’s Bushwick neighbourhood. Murphy’s mother, Lillian Murphy was a telephone operator, and his father, Charles Edward Murphy (1940-1969), was a transit Police officer and an amateur Actor and comedian.
Murphy’s father was murdered in 1969, after, it was said by Murphy that, my parents was broke up when I was 3 years old and when I was 8 years old he died, so I have very little memories.. He was a suspect of Eddie charm. My father was stabbed by a lady. I never knew all the logistics.
It was like one of those crimes of passion, if I can’t have you, no one else will kind of deal. He said, when my single mother became ill, I was 8 years old and my elder brother, Charie 1959-2017, lived in foster care for a year.
He stated in an interview that, when he was in foster care, was influential in developing his sense of humor. And then he said, his brother were raised in Roosevelt, New York, by his mother and stepfather Vernon Lynch, he was a Foreman at an ice cream plant.
When Eddie was 15 year old, he listened to Richard Pryor’S Comedy album That Nigger’s Crazy, which influenced him to become a comedian like him. When he was a kid, he developed playing many roles in imitation of his acting hero, Peter Sellers. Some more other early influences, Bill Cosby, Redd Foxx, Robin Williams Muhammed Ali, Bruce Lee, and Charlie Chaplin..
He began his career on July 9, 1976, by playing in a talent show at the Roosevelt Youth Centre, doing an impersonation of singer Al Green as Green’s song “Let’s Stay Together” played. This led to work at other clubs within walking distance, and then late-night jobs at locations that required him to travel by train.
For this, he secretly skipped his school and after the passage of time when his mother discovered it, he was required to attend summer school.
Murphy had 2 sons, in quick succession around the late of 1980s, Eric, born in 1989, with his ex- girlfriend, Paulette McNeely, and Christian was born in, 1990, with his ex-girlfriend, Tamara Hood. He began a long term romantic relationship with, Nicole Mitchell later of meeting her in 1988 at an NAACP Image Awards show.
They were together for almost 2 years prior getting married at the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel in New York City on March 18, 1993. He and Mitchell have shared 5 children, Bria, Myles, Shyane, Zola, and Bella. Stuffs didn’t happened as they planned then, in August 2005, Mitchell filed for divorce, their divorce was finalized on April 17, 2006.
After divorce, he began dating Spice Girl Melanie Brown, who became pregnant and said the baby was Eddie’s. But Murphy said he is not the father of her baby, “I don’t know whose child that it until it comes out and has a blood test. Brown gave birth to a baby girl, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, on Eddie’s 46th birthday, April 3, 2007. On June 22, 2007, Brown announced that a DNA test had confirmed Eddie was the father of my daughter.
Eddie had a daughter with Australian Model Paige Butcher, whom he has been dating since 2012. The couple are also parents of a son born in November 2018. They became engaged to be married in September 2018. Their son’s middle name pays tribute to Eddie’s late brother Charlie, who died due to Leukemia in 2017.
